Release Candidate

The idea of a release candidate is that this version should be bug free, and perfectly fit for release. Of course, it's unlikely that it is actually bugfree, which is why I'll give it another week for bugfixing those final issues. This does mean that the game is finished, which means that there is no more new content in this version.

In other words, next Friday the game will be available for purchase here on Itch, and it should be (mostly) bugfree as I'll spend next week fixing any further bugs that may pop up. There will be a $10 normal version, and an 18$ version with the debug console and the (lossless) soundtrack.

Once the game is out, I'll announce the new project I'm working on. People Patreon and Subscribestar already have access to some of those devlogs. At that point, Ero Dungeons will only receive bugfixes, balance changes, and mod support (or additions by contributors).

Major:

  • Nothing! It's done!

Minor:

  • Buffed the Bow+1.
  • Suppressing Fire and Signalling Flare can now be used in rank 2.
  • The Bug Reporter (press F8) will now always make a screenshot and will never send logs (as that could break the upload).
  • Updated the demo text in the overworld to link to Itch.
  • Presets have been standardized to no longer have last names.
  • Standardized conditional scripts, below always uses strict inequality, above always uses non-strict inequality.
  • Human dancers can no longer boost eachother to prevent loops.
  • Updated Simplified Chinese translation, thanks CannedFox!
  • Made more items translatable (Rarities, Scopes, Censorships, Days, Rounds,...).

Bugfixes:

  • Items without tooltips would still show a question mark when hovering over them in the ConclusionPanel
  • Orc Orgy curio was completely broken.
  • Rope Bridge curio was completely broken.
  • Kaldea with a safety amulet would get killed despite the retreat panel saying otherwise.
  • Bug reporting now works in the main menu.
  • Clipping Fixes (Zori, Red Condomsuit, Leather Armor, Latex Heels)
  • Summoning Circles could give you the same preset multiple times.
  • Fixed > and >= inconsistencies in the following conditionals: below_cash, below_desire, below_growth_of_parasite, below_lust, below_health, max_hp, below_satisfaction, below_stat, above_lust, above_sensitivity, above_satisfaction, above_gold, above_growth_of_parasite, below_move_uses, above_health.
  • Typo fixes.
  • The Alraune House could behave like a chest.
  • Nipple Parasite moves would break if the user wasn't in ranks 1 or 2.
  • Conclusion screen could crash if you had too much loot (like 500 items or so).

By the way, this game is amazing! As someone who has spent many hours playing Darkest Dungeon when I found this game, I couldn't stop playing. I don't get into all of the themes of it but the scope and depth of what you have created here is truly fantastic. Thank you, Mado, for all of your work on this! It will be well worth the price a couple times over to me! I'm counting the days to release. :)
