Monstergirl Hunters Steam Patch
A downloadable mod
If you bought Ero Hunters/Monstergirl Hunters on Steam, you'll need to use this patch to unlock all content.
Warning: The save location has changed. If you open Steam version 1.1 with the outdated patch and don't have Cloud Saves enabled, the save migration process will fail. You'll have to manually copy your save files from C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\EroHunters to C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Mado\Hunters.
Instructions
To install the patch, go to Monstergirl Hunters in your Steam library and go to Manager>Browse Local Files:

Then place the Patch.pck in that folder. Do not rename the file.

When you start the game, you'll now be greeted with the Ero Hunters menu screen.
Note that you'll need to do this every time you update the game on Steam (though you'll need an update patch at that point anyway).
The current patch should be used with version 1.1
The old patch is for version 1.0

Is the steam version in 1.1 now?
Yes
The problem is, you can't do that, steam gets pissy if you advertise the patch. Mado cant say anything on steam about it. Which is why we have to direct users to the discord.
Could probably advertise mods being here on itch though. Which would lead users to the patch. But its a slippery slope.
Steam also got pissy when I left a link to the mods page on Itch there. So that also isn't a possibility.
They probably saw the patch do to that. Its a shame that some of their team let the "power" go to their heads so much. They really think they are the police. Though they don't seem to care if I or other modders mention mods. Maybe we could get away with putting a link.
Progression overhaul doesn't have any adult content, maybe I could try a link to that.
This is its page right now

Any plans on adding multi-OS support?
You already have a browser version, so it should be easy, right?
The version here on Itch and on JAST already have support for Linux/Mac. It just takes some more time to put these on Steam.
Great, I'll buy it then, FWIW
Do we have to redownload the patch after every post 1.0 update?
Yes
Some 18+ games implemented "your patch version is old -> update" button in game Menu screen to simplify update.
Obviously button doesn't appear if patch isn't manually uploaded first time manually (triggered only if file is present, upon version mismatch check) .
Would it be too risky to implement something similar ?
File update on SteamDeck implies switching to desktop mode, downloading file via browser (not Itch client ) ,which takes a little bit of time.
Метод конечно рабочий, но всё-же почему нельзя добавить это как DLC как это делают многие другие?
Steam is cracking down on the DLC method recently, so I didn't want to take the risk.
There's also the fact that this is more accessible.
If it was a DLC, then it wouldn't be available in Germany and any other countries where Steam just blocks +18 content.

If you've downloaded a very early version of this patch, the console might not be working for you. In that case, just download the patch again.
